Dorm Life for Me

Now that I have decided on Michigan State University College of Law (MSU Law) I had to decide where to live. I considered all of the options, especially the fact that I will now be living on an extremely tight budget. So I have chosen to live in the graduate residence hall.

Of course that now means I am downsizing my whole life. Which honestly doesn’t upset me as much as some may think it would. I have things in totes that I haven’t looked at for over 3 years. Do I really need those items? I think not.

I am also going on a dining plan, so yay for no cooking. Maybe it is because I am older, but I feel as if I have been “adulting” for 30 years and it will be nice to just be able to focus on school. Plus less stress about financials because my housing expenses will be set.

I researched what I would need for my dorm room and since I have been living in houses and apartments for my entire life, of course I don’t have these things. So I made an Amazon Wish List. Any help is appreciated as I prepare to leave my full-time job and become a full-time student.

Thank you everyone for your support and encouragement on this journey. I plan on trying to keep up with all of the updates as things keep moving forward.
